I think almost everyone enjoys to see a comedian break away from the laughs and turn serious for a role, or in this case even villainous. Kevin James executes this extremely played out and cliche Aryan brotherhood/supremacist/convict character as well as he could've with what barren script he was given.
Everything starts out with some solid character development with the young Lulu Wilson with her struggles and current emotional situation. As things progress we fly ahead into the start of the action and are introduced to the ever cliche written group of villains with intensity and mystery. At this point it appears as though they will explain a certain plot device in which the antagonists are after, but they fail to do so. Then things start getting gruesome and very fast paced and you still wonder what they are truly after. Towards the final act just when you think they'll explain what the point of all this was, we are once again left hanging without any true explanation of their intentions with the main object they were after rendering the whole story nearly useless other than for extreme brutality and revenge empowerment.
As I mentioned the film has some decently entertaining performances by James and Wilson, and some solid production value, but there is almost no story here. If they would've simply given an explanation to the motives of these convicts and wrapped up some loose ends, it could've been slightly better. Instead it just feels like a hollow and cliche revenge thriller.

Mejora de transportes

El rectorado ha mantenido una reunión con representantes de la Consejería de Obras Públicas, Vivienda y Transporte para mejorar el transporte universitario y conseguir un compromiso claro para conseguir un servicio eficiente. Se tomaron los siguientes acuerdos:

-Aumentar las frecuencias en las horas punta y número de coches con salida desde plaza Fuensanta.

-Salida de coches directos hacia el Campus de Espinardo, con carteles diferenciadores.

-Recorrido completo del Campus de Espinardo, cubriendo la ampliación de la zona norte.

-La continua renovación de la flota de autobuses cuando sus condiciones lo requieran.

-La creación de una Comisión de Seguimiento, formada por el Director General de Transportes, la Vicerrectora de Estudiantes y Empleo, el Teniente de Alcade del Ayuntamiento de Murcia y un representante de Latbus.

Resumen Junta de Facultad del J18-I

Compañeras y compañeros, no os quejaréis de delegado, ayer fui a una junta de facultad en representación vuestra. Para ser mi primera junta no estuvo mal, además tenía cerca unos cuantos compañeros de la delegación y varios profesores conocidos, como Marina y Rosa.

Además de anunciar los premios obtenidos por miembros de la UMU y varias defunciones de personal, la decana nos resumió las experiencias de la excursión a las escuelas rurales de Mazarrón, escuelas unitarias donde se prevee realizar Prácticum. Ivette, vicedecana de estudiantes y relaciones institucionales e internacionales nos habló de los convenios con universidades francesas, Nancy y Rouen, donde se podrá realizar, más adelante, el Practicum (¿III?), al igual que ya ocurre con la universidad de Bedfordshire.

Me enteré de que los alumnos de Psicología cambiarán de aulario en cuestión de meses, por lo que es posible que a final del próximo cuatrimestre queden vacantes bastantes aulas.

También se va a tratar en breve cómo van a quedar definidas los nuevos títulos de Grado y Máster. Ya sabéis que la convergencia con Europa implica modificar nuestro actual modelo de Diplomaturas-Licenciaturas.

Si alguien quiere dejar de fumar que acuda al Servicio de Asesoramiento y Orentación de Personal en http://www.um.es/saop , además de ayudar a dejar de fumar con apoyo de personal médico profesional puedes enterarte de muchas más cosas.

Hubo una breve discusión sobre ofertas de asignaturas de libre configuración y optativas, el equipo directivo rechazó una nueva propuesta de asignatura aludiendo que ya se parecía mucho a otra asignatura ya existente y que las asignaturas que realmente hacen falta son las optativas. En fin, que por lo visto en nuestra carrera tenemos poco abanico de asignaturas optativas y que los departamentos en lugar de ofertar más optativas crean asignaturas de libre configuración que se suponen que son de interés de toda la comunidad universitaria pero que resultan muy específicas y raras veces cubren el cupo mínimo de estudiantes.

Se aprobó para el año que viene la división del primer curso de educación infantil en dos grupos de 90 alumnos, debido a la gran cantidad de peticiones que obtuvo esta especialidad el año anterior. Es decir, clases más pequeñitas, pero a mi 90 alumnos me sigue pareciendo un disparáte. Pero de donde no hay no se puede sacar, en cuanto sepa la razón exacta de las masificaciones os lo digo (va en broma).

También la vicedecana de Prácticum de Magisterio, Dolores, nos habló de un convenio con una ONG paraguaya llamada Fe y Alegría. Se trata de ir en verano a una escuela de Paraguay a realizar prácticas extracurriculares. Dieron buenas referencias a la asociación, de orientación Jesuíta o Carmelita (no me quedó muy claro) pero bastante parecido a un colegio público, nada fuera del otro mundo, eso nuestra tutora seguro que nos lo podrá aclarar, de momento lo único que se ofrece por parte de la ONG es alojamiento y manutención, el viaje de ida y vuelta está en trámites de ser becado por algunos ayuntamientos de la Región. Muchos de los contenidos didácticos de esa ONG han sido realizados por maestros de nuestra Región (¡dios mío hablo ya como un murciano más! horror, si yo soy de CT) ¿A quién no le gustaría ir a hacer prácticas al otro lado del mundo? A mi el primero eh.

La decana llamó la atención a los alumnos presentes sobre la falta de participación que tenemos, se están convocando juntas y como no se han actualizado del año anterior a este los alumnos participantes, no hay representación de alumnos en junta, cojonudo, yo mismo me apunte hace unos días a tres juntas, ¿dónde estará el compañero al que yo le dije que me apuntara?

Por último deciros que no se ha presentado ningún otro grupo para la delegación de alumnos, y que el grupo en el que yo participo lo más seguro que sea elegido para llevar la delegación este año. Ya iremos informando del equipo, de sus miembros, de su página web... cuando terminen los exámenes para todos... no vaya a ser que a alguien le de un patatús del agobio.

Y para terminar de aburriros decir que se van a renovar convenios de la Universidad con sindicatos (STERM) y asociaciones de madres y padres de la región, (AMPAS), si me dejo algo más es que no nos incumbe a nosotros, sino a jefes de departamento. Ale, ahí va eso.

Recogida de juguetes

El Centro Social colabora con la Asociación Punto de Encuentro en una nueva campaña de recogida de juguetes. Esta campaña pretende recoger todos los juguetes que ya no son utilizados y que estén en buen estado, para regalarlos a los niños del Sahara. Tanto si quieres entregar tus viejos juguetes o participar como voluntario entra en:

Se abre la votación sobre cuál debería ser el emblema del blog y la imagen que deberíamos usar de autor, ahora están la de las camisetas de las fiestas y una foto mía de manera provisional, pero podemos colgar a cualquiera. La idea es ir variando de logos periódicamente para ser más originales. Enviadme sugerencias, el blog es de tod@s.

También podemos elegir un nuevo emblema para las camisetas para las fiestas del año que viene. Cualquiera puede enviar su logotipo, haced bocetos y enviarlos, yo cuando esté inspirado haré uno (para colgarlo del blog es recomendable que ocupe menos de 40 kb). Entre todos lo podemos decidir.
